A study in India found that replacing diesel pumps with solar saves 1,500 liters of diesel per hectare annually, cutting costs by $1,200. Additionally, solar irrigation reduces greenhouse gas emissions, achieving up to 26.5 tons CO2eq/ha/year reduction.
